Sojourn
Delete your account & data
Last updated: 21 July 2026
You can permanently delete your Sojourn account and everything associated with it. There are two ways to do it: from inside the app, or by sending us a request.
What gets deleted. Your account, all of your check-ins (place names, notes, dates, and locations), all of your photos, and your import history — from your device and from our servers. This cannot be undone. Residual copies may remain briefly in routine encrypted backups before they are rotated out, typically within about 60 days.
Option 1 — Delete it yourself, in the app (fastest)
- Open Sojourn and make sure you're signed in.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
That single action deletes your photos from storage, deletes your account and all of its check-ins, photos, and import records from our database, and wipes the local copy on your device. When it finishes, you're signed out and nothing remains.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you can't open the app — for example, you've lost the device — email us and we'll delete your account for you.
Send an email to support@chaze.net from the email address linked to your Google sign-in, with the subject “Delete my Sojourn account.”
We use the email address you send from to confirm you own the account (it must match your Sign in with Google address). We'll confirm once your account and all associated data have been deleted, and we aim to complete verified requests within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in identity.
- All check-ins: place names, addresses, categories, notes, dates, and location coordinates.
- All photos you uploaded.
- Your import history.
- The encrypted copy stored locally on your device (removed automatically when you delete in-app).
